GRAND HYATT HONG KONG
The Creation of Wyatt

In 2024, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong had an abundance of old linen and uniforms that could no longer be used in the hotel’s daily operations. Meanwhile, delivering them to the landfill would have been a huge waste.
To tackle this problem, we partnered up with Grand Hyatt Hong Kong to launch a special-edition Shih Tzu plush toy named Wyatt! The Shih Tzu breed was deliberately selected to represent qualities of the brand, nobility and loyalty. Wyatt’s clothes are up-cycled from the cleaned linens and chef uniforms, while his adorable little chief’s hat was fashioned from pillow cases; the stuffing used is recycled and cleaned cotton from old plush toys, melding creativity and sustainability into a single puppy plush.

Wyatt is available for sale to the general public through Grand Hyatt’s souvenir shops or e-shops. A portion of the proceeds from Wyatt will be donated to Dress Green’s collaboration with Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Services Centres for new machinery purchase.
