BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge 2025: Upcycled Souvenirs

一個白色布料的小掛牌,上面印有不同的電車圖案和"Since 1904"的文字,背景為綠色。

To echo the BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge 2025’s theme “Nature in the City: Smart Connections for Sustainable Living”, Tramplus worked together with Dress Green to craft up-cycled products for the participants and guests of the competition.

Introducing the up-cycled card holder and the up-cycled embroidery pins! The card holder was crafted from retired coin bags from Hong Kong Tramways’ Free Ride Days, featuring a special design of historical trams and merging sustainability with creativity. The embroidery pins were made from old HK Tramway uniforms. Each pIn has a unique design that represents HK Tramways, ranging from its mascot, Ding Ding Cat, to its tram routes. These pins were also made in different uniforms, capturing diversity and tradition all at once.

BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge 2025: Phone Strap Upcycling Workshop

一名女孩正在與一位女性成人一起玩手工藝,桌上擺放著各種材料。

On the same note, after the BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge finale, Dress Green set up a phone strap up-cycling workshop. These phone straps use leftover scraps from retired uniforms for the pins. By twisting these strips of fabric together, a sturdy patterned phone strap can be created. Dress Green designs sustainable products like these that can be used for free-flow workshops, merging style and sustainability.
