Internal Preservation & Future Upcycling

To support MTR’s sustainability goals, retired corporate uniforms were collected and stored at the Dress Green warehouse. Following strict ESG-aligned guidelines, each garment underwent careful logo removal and security processing to ensure total brand protection. High-quality fabric panels were then cataloged and preserved in our internal textile reserve, diverting waste from local landfills and setting the foundation for creative upcycling.

Giving the collected textiles a second life, Dress Green transformed the fabric panels into vibrant, dual-toned upcycled neck scarves. Combining the distinct blue and green uniform fabrics, these stylish lifestyle accessories serve as a tangible symbol of circular innovation, turning retired corporate apparel into practical, high-value assets for community engagement and events.

The Pen Bear has always been a classic in the Peninsula Boutique catalog, and now he comes with a special twist: His uniform and stuffing. The Pen Bear’s page uniform is created by tailoring recycled uniforms, and the fillings are sourced from thoroughly cleaned feather toppers, coming together to recreate Peninsula’s iconic mascot.
