Internal Preservation & Future Upcycling
Partnering with Ngong Ping 360, Dress Green collected retired staff uniforms to support the cable car operator’s ESG commitments and waste reduction goals. To safeguard brand identity, all garments underwent systematic logo removal and security processing. High-quality fabric panels were carefully sorted, cataloged, and stored in our internal reserve, ensuring zero textile waste went to landfills during this collection phase.
Behind the scenes, skilled tailors meticulously cut, sorted, and prepared the vibrant blue, yellow, and green fabrics from Ngong Ping 360’s outerwear. By preserving these durable, weather-resistant textile panels in our secure reserve, the project establishes a sustainable foundation for future upcycling initiatives, transforming corporate apparel into valuable assets for the community and corporate engagements.
The Pen Bear has always been a classic in the Peninsula Boutique catalog, and now he comes with a special twist: His uniform and stuffing. The Pen Bear’s page uniform is created by tailoring recycled uniforms, and the fillings are sourced from thoroughly cleaned feather toppers, coming together to recreate Peninsula’s iconic mascot.

Simultaneously during the collection process, select panels from Ngong Ping 360’s uniforms were directly upcycled into durable, dual-toned tote bags featuring their signature pattern. While remaining textiles were safely de-branded and cataloged into our internal reserve for future initiatives, this immediate transformation showcased how retired corporate apparel can instantly yield stylish, high-value eco-products alongside long-term resource preservation.
